Experiences of moral injury in UK military veterans

This report details research into moral injury and the experiences of UK military veterans.


The aims of this research were to examine from both a veteran and clinician perspective: 1) The types of experiences which may lead to moral injury in UK military veterans; 2) The potential risk and protective factors for mental health difficulties following moral injury; 3) The impact of moral injury on veteran mental health and well-being; 4) The perceptions of (need for) support following moral injury; and 5) The development of a scale to assess the exposure to and impact of military moral injury.
