Empowering Veterans and their families
The VFR Hub aims to empower the forces community (serving, veterans and families) to make informed decisions by providing them with access to an extensive range of research-related information in plain language.
We appreciate that a lot of academic research can be complex and difficult to understand. For this reason, the Hub aims to simplify that research and make it readily available for all, to facilitate sharing knowledge and to support collaboration across groups and communities.
How our resources could help you
The Hub contains a vast amount of information to support veterans and their families, in finding key facts and resources.
We’ve made our website simple to explore so that you can find what you’re looking for quickly and easily. Search results can be customised and we provide summaries of the research in accessible language, as well as relevant key data and a link directly to the source material on the web.
In addition, we are developing a series of videos, graphics and animations so that busy users can understand the key issues, in formats that are suitable for sharing with others. To help access some of the more technical language, we’ve also created a glossary of terms.
Explore research by theme
To make it as easy as possible to explore and find what you’re looking for, we have segmented our research into the following themes:
