This research is looking to see whether correlations exist between colour preference, colour associations, and a tendency for mental ill-health in the general, armed forces, and clinical population.

Many veterans express feelings of difference from their civilian counterparts, viewed as a barrier to the effective identification and treatment of mental ill-health. Including them in this research allows us to see if this difference could be grounded in something as fundamental as perception.

This research could develop our general understanding of colour perception and mental health and how it applies to specific populations, determining whether these perceptual processes are fundamental or variable.

This study is seeking veterans (as well as other populations) to respond to the survey. Click here for more information on the study and to see if you are eligible to participate.
