Well-being

The UK’s Department of Health defines well-being as follows: “well-being is about feeling good and functioning well and comprises an individual’s experience of their life; and a comparison of life circumstances with social norms and values” (2014). Each of the thematic areas covered by the Snapshots are important for a person’s overall sense of well-being.
